The great teacher Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani(may Allah bless him) mentioned one particular du’a. I think it was based on the following hadith: From Abu Umamah (ra), he said: We heard Rasulullah (saw) make many supplications but we don’t memorize any of them. So, we went to see him and said, “Ya Rasulullah! You have made all kinds of supplications, but we have not memorized any.” Rasulullah (saw) answered, “Would you like me to show you how you can combine all of them into one? You should say:

‏اللهم إني أسألك من خير ما أسألك منه نبيك محمد صلى

،الله عليه وسلم، وأعوذ بك من شر ما استعاذ منه

نبيك محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، وأنت المستعان

وعليك البلاغ، ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله‏‏

Allahumma inni as’aluka min khairi ma sa’alaka minhu nabiyyuka Muhammadun sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam. Wa `a`udhu bika min sharri mas-ta`adha minhu nabiyyuka Muhammadun sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam. Wa Antal-Musta`anu, wa `alaikal-balaghu, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah

“O Allah, I ask You the good which Your Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked of You; and I seek refuge in You from the evil where from Your Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sought refuge. You are the One from Whom help is sought and from You comes Help. There is no power or strength except with Allah the Exalted, the Great.’’

The burial location of Singapore's past Alim-Ulama and Saints

Some of us might have a 'niat' (intention) of visiting the graves of our past 'Alim-Ulamas' in Singapore. Some people say, that 'tawassul' (seeking means) through the Prophet and the awliya' such as seeking their intercession is not necessary nor a priority in Islam. But we don't ask directly to them as Allah swt is the one that has the power over all things seen and unseen. However, we (the non-Wahabbis) can still 'tawassul'.

Example of 'tawassul' when visiting a grave of an Ulama:

Ya Allah, with the 'Barakah of Fulan Bin Fulan', please grant me and my family good health and strong Iman. Etc... Ameen.

Dont forget to make Doa for the Ulama's that we visited as well. May Allah swt make us closer to the ones He loves, Ameen.
